Biography

Wang Weixin, graduated from the Clinical Medicine Program of Tsinghua University and Peking Union Medical College with a doctoral degree. He is currently an attending physician in the Second Department of Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
Professional Specialties: Specializes in injectable aesthetic and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, oculoplastic surgery, liposuction, fat grafting, perineal plastic surgery, minimally invasive treatment of axillary osmidrosis, scar repair, and excision of superficial masses.

Since beginning his clinical career, he has pursued dual development in both academia and art within the field of plastic surgery, devoted himself to studying reconstructive plastic surgery, established a solid foundation in plastic surgery, and accumulated extensive clinical experience. He selects the most appropriate treatment plan according to the patient's specific condition. He has accumulated rich experience in superficial scars and superficial masses, especially in the repair of large defects of the face and neck. With the aid of soft tissue expansion techniques, he makes full use of expanded skin and conceals incision scars as much as possible, achieving good therapeutic outcomes. In perineal plastic surgery, he specializes in the treatment of redundant prepuce, phimosis, and short penis in men.
In the field of aesthetic surgery, he uses an artistic perspective to provide overall design for patients seeking aesthetic improvement, proposes appropriate treatment plans as a friend, advocates “minimally invasive aesthetics, natural is best”, and seeks the best results with the least cost. He specializes in injectable aesthetic and minimally invasive procedures, including injectable wrinkle reduction, facial slimming, calf slimming, facial hyaluronic acid and autologous fat grafting, and hyaluronic acid injection for rhinoplasty, lip augmentation, and chin augmentation. In eye plastic surgery, he is skilled in suture and incisional double-eyelid blepharoplasty, epicanthoplasty, transconjunctival and transcutaneous lower eyelid blepharoplasty, and brow excision/lifting. In particular, during incisional double-eyelid surgery, he preserves the orbicularis oculi muscle below the double-eyelid line and performs three-dimensional reconstruction of the upper eyelid structure, resulting in postoperative outcomes that are more physiological and natural. In addition, he has unique insights into silicone implant rhinoplasty and chin augmentation, as well as body contouring (liposuction and autologous fat breast augmentation). In the treatment of axillary osmidrosis, he adheres to the minimally invasive surgical characteristics of the Second Department of Plastic Surgery, using small incisions with definite therapeutic effects.

He led the Youth Project of the Institute/Hospital Fund: “Large Animal Model Study of Revascularization and Venous Congestion in Prefabricated Flaps”; participated in the Beijing Capital Characteristic Major Project: “Study on Tissue Transplantation for Functional Urethral Reconstruction in Patients with Hypospadias”; published one SCI-indexed article as first author and three articles in core journals as co-author.
